ALBUM REVIEW

Simply put, this is an amazing album. I loved it the first time around, and I still love it. It's got such a great variety of songs, that it sort of surprised it at first. I thought most of them would be much like "Never Again" or "Gold", but after listening to the entire album, I really liked the rockier songs such as "Rhodesia" and "Butterfly" (which is why I applied for their fanlistings).

"Special Happiness" is also one of my favourites. I didn't like it at first because it was kind of boring, but then I saw the performance and just completely died at the KamexJunno-ness of the song (I'm a shipper for them). Their duet together has that unique touch to it, that I think it's mostly because of Kame's whistling, which totally made me fall in love with song more. I also admire Junno's singing in this song because usually he's just a background vocal, but this time around, he's got a few parts to himself. I'm sure the more solo bits in songs, the more his singing will improve.

"One on One", the duet between Tanaka Koki and Nakamaru Yuichi, is pretty good. Like "Special Happiness", I didn't like it at first because I dislike beatboxing and other similar R&B and/or hip hop music, but this song completely changed in the second half, changing my opinion of it as well. The first half isn't all that great, in my opinion, so if you plan to listen to it, just skip to the second half because it's got great rhythm.

"Butterfly" was much like "Love at first listen." to me because it remains to be one of my favourite songs on this album. It sounds kind of different at first because Akanishi Jin and Tatsuya Ueda don't have the greatest English pronounciation in the world, so you can't really pick out what they're singing about. Yes, the song has more than some English lyrics in it. I didn't figure this out until I found the lyrics for it. My first time listening to it, the only English words I recognized were "butterfly" and "listen up". Quite sad, but after listening to it, maybe a hundred times, I can proudly say that I can pick out "What an amazing butterfly!" quite easily. =)

Other favourite songs of mine from this album include "Rhodesia" and "Blue Tuesday". It's not like I don't the songs like "Gold" or "Never Again", but I just like the original songs better. Also, "Real Face" is quite good, but I believe the original/normal version wasn't included on the album?

Anyways, if you would like to listen to the album, I have it on my personal radio blog. However, you will need to scroll through other songs, but hey, I wouldn't complain. At least you don't have to download them because that's illegal. *nods*
